dataplor CEO Geoff Michener to Speak at 2022 Spatial Data Science Conference
On October 20, dataplor CEO and co-founder Geoff Michener will speak at the 2022 Spatial Data Science Conference at Columbia University in New York City. Spearheaded by dataplor partner CARTO, this event will gather data science, advanced analytics, and GIS thought leaders from around the world. These experts, together with a range of businesses and organizations, will discuss how geospatial data is reshaping urban life, sustainability, and economic development.
At SDSC, Geoff will be part of an expert panel on “The Future of Location Data in Decision Making,” which will take place in the auditorium of Columbia’s Lerner Hall from 3:20pm-3:50pm. Alongside other data providers (including TomTom, MBI Geodata, Gravy Analytics, and GeoIQ), dataplor is excited to explore the present and future of data-driven strategy.
Armed with over a decade of experience in the location-data space, Geoff will concentrate on how organizations can leverage geospatial datasets to drive expansion and maximize revenue. As companies from every industry embark on journeys of digital transformation, they’ve realized that location intelligence is foundational for insight-forward growth.
With location data, organizations can determine their own market share, improve competitive intelligence and site selection, shore up product roll-out internationally, and identify new channels for advertising and sales. But while none of this is possible without location data, poor-quality data can stifle ROI. To this point, Geoff will also discuss the challenges of finding and working with location data—as well as how to overcome them.
